Day 1: Arrive in Delhi

Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel.

Later city tour visiting Qutab minar, Lotus temple, India gate (war memorial), Lakshminarayan temple a modern hindu temple. Drive past President’s house, Parliament house and Secretariat building. Also visit Raj ghat and Shanti vana the Cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, Jama Masjid and drive past Red fort (Red fort is closed on every Monday) and Chandni chowk.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Delhi - Agra

Morning depart by surface for Agra. On arrival check in at hotel.

Afternoon city sightseeing tour visiting the world famous Taj Mahal built by Moghul Emperor Shahjahan in 1630 to enshrine the mortal remains of his Queen Mumtaz.  Later visit the Agra fort containing the halls of private and public audience and other palaces.

Overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 3: Agra - Jaipur

Morning depart by surface for Jaipur en-route visit Fatehpur sikri built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including Jama masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch mahal and other Palaces.

On arrival check in at hotel, overnight at hotel.

Day 4: In Jaipur

Morning half day excursion to Amber fort, the ancient capital of the state until 1728. Visit the Jagmandir or the hall of victory glittering with mirrors, Jai mahal and Temple of Kali. Ascend on Elephant Back, the hill, on which the fort is situated.

Proceed for city sightseeing tour visiting Maharaja’s City Palace and the Observatory, drive past Hawa Mahal or the Palace of winds and through the Rose-pink residential and Business areas of Jaipur.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Jaipur - Delhi

After breakfast drive to Delhi, on arrival check-in at hotel.

Day 6: Delhi - Haridwar

Morning drive to Haridwar. Afternoon visit various temples of Haridwar. Evening visit Har-ki-Pauri – one of the most sacred ghats in India. People say that this ghat was built by Vikramaditya in memory of his brother Bhartrihari.

Later witness Aarti of the Holy River Ganges. Aarti is the beautiful ceremony in which deeyas (the oil lamps) are offered to God. Aarti can be done to a deity in the temple or it can be done to a saint. It is performed to God, in any manifestation, any form, by any name. Overnight stay in Haridwar.

Day 07: Haridwar - Rishikesh - Delhi

Morning drive to Rishikesh – also known as the ‘place of sages’, at the confluence of the Chandrabhaga and Ganga. It is the starting point for the Char dham pilgrims but also for the people who are interested in meditation, yoga and other aspects of Hinduism. In Rishikesh visit Laxman Jhula- a hanging bridge on the river Ganga is one of the most famous spot in Rishikesh. According to Indian mythology, Lakshman, the younger brother of Lord Rama crossed the Ganga with the help of hanging bridge made of Jute. Also visit Bharat Mandir – the oldest temple in Rishikesh, near the Triveni Ghat. This temple is dedicated to Bharat, the younger brother of Lord Ram. Optional activities -White water rafting. Afternoon drive to Delhi and drop at Airport to board flight for onward destination.
